Solid Beech Slatted Bed Base
The Solid Beech Slatted Bed Base consists of 28 flexible slats, allowing the mattress to better conform to the sleeper's body. The small gaps between the individual slats ensure that the pressure from the mattress is evenly distributed across the slats.
The frame of the base is made from layered glued beech wood. The base is suitable for all types of mattresses and, thanks to the high flexibility of the slats, it is also suitable for mattresses less than 7 cm in height.
Dimensions:
- frame - 5 cm x 2 cm
- slat - 3.8 cm x 0.8 cm
- Total dimensions of the base - width: approximately 0.5 cm less than the frame width; length: approximately 2 cm shorter - Example: A base suitable for a bed frame of 180x80 cm has actual total dimensions of 79.5 cm x 178 cm
Load capacity of one base is 100 kg.
Bases wider than 140 cm consist of 2 individual bases:
- base 140x200 is shipped as 2x 200x70
- base 160x200 is shipped as 2x 200x80
- base 180x200 is shipped as 2x 200x90
Note: Bases wider than 140 cm should only be used in beds equipped with a so-called "fifth leg" for safety reasons, which is most commonly part of a T-shaped support brace.
