The MikroC children's mattress, measuring 70x140 cm, is a reversible mattress that offers children the choice between a softer and a firmer side. The softer side is made of polyurethane foam, while the firmer side consists of a coconut fiber board. This mattress is appreciated by both preschoolers and older children.
Under the removable cover of the MikroC children's mattress lies the core of the mattress, which is made up of two layers of different materials. Each material has its unique properties, ensuring a quality and healthy sleep for children.
1st layer of the mattress - coconut fiber board
Coconut fibers bonded with a mixture of natural and organic rubber form a compact board through careful compression. Coconut fibers are elastic, hollow inside, and do not dust or prick.
The advantage of the coconut layer is its ability to wick away sweat and moisture. You will surely appreciate its resistance to bacteria and fungi. Additionally, coconut fiber is characterized by excellent thermal properties and ensures proper air circulation within this layer of the mattress.
2nd layer of the mattress - polyurethane foam (PUR)
High-quality polyurethane foam is the softer side of the mattress. The foam is uniformly firm and elastic across its entire surface. On the mattress firmness scale, it is considered medium-firm. This firmness meets the requirements for children's mattresses for everyday sleeping.
It is up to the children which side of the mattress they prefer to use. To maintain the mattress's longevity, don't forget to purchase a mattress protector.

MIKROC cover
The quilted fabric meets the requirements for basic mattress covers. The weight of the fabric is lower and therefore a mattress with this coating is more affordable. Despite the lower weight, the cover is suitable for everyday sleeping. You can extend the life of the mattress cover by using a suitable mattress protector in the appropriate size.

Coating weight : 72 g/m² + 80 g/m² (Non-woven fabric)
Filling weight : 15 g/m² (Fleece or "fleece")
PUR foam T18
T18 foam meets the standard requirements for polyurethane (hereinafter referred to as PUR) foam used in mattresses for smaller children - you can find it mostly in mattresses up to 140 cm long. The mattress containing this mattress in the core is medium firm - 3 on a scale of 1-5. Ourbaby mattresses have PUR foam with T18 marking and compression resistance of 4.2 kPa. The designation T18 means a density of 18 kg/m³ . Sometimes PUR foam is known in the Czech environment as "molitan".
Coconut fiber board
Natural coconut fiber board is made of coconut fibers. Coconut fibers combined with a mixture of natural and organic rubber form a compact board thanks to motorcycleeful pressing. Coconut fibers are elastic, hollow inside, do not dust or sting. The board is modified on both sides by a chemical process called vulcanization , which gives it greater flexibility and eliminates the fraying of coconut fibers.
The advantage of the coconut layer in the mattress is its ability to wick away sweat and moisture. You will certainly appreciate the resistance to bacteria and fungi. At the same time, coconut fiber is characterized by perfect thermal properties and ensuring adequate air circulation inside this layer of the mattress.
The weight of the board is 1000 g/m², its thickness is approx. 0.8 cm.
